Politics suck.
It's a fact that we all know. Politicians are some of the most conniving, greedy and all around terrible people in the world... right next to lawyers.
That being said, politics are an important part of our society, especially every four years when we select a new president.
In 2008 America elected the first African American president.
Today, I am going to take you into the future where an even greater feat will be accomplished.
It might not happen in 2016, but I predict America will one day have...
A celebrity president!
That's right.
There are many celebrities running and getting elected in political positions. Jesse Ventura was governor of Minnesota, Arnold Schwarzenegger is governor in California and Al Franken is still fighting for his senate spot.
Charles Barkley and Ted Nugent have expressed interest in running for governor in the future and I'll be damned if one of them or both doesn't get the spot.
America isn't stupid (I at least try and convince myself this) and we know that the president cannot do all that much without approval from the big timers in Congress.
The president's main role is to be representative of America and stand up for its rights. Who is better at being loved and standing up for themselves than a celebrity? Especially an action superstar!
Stallone for President '16
Imagine if Sylvester Stallone ran for president. Think of the speeches. I would be all for going to war if Stallone was citing some Rambo lines.
And he is in shape for his age. America needs a president that looks like he could be your friend, but at the same time could crush you with his bare hands. I would sleep safe at night with Rocky as my president.
I would say Arnold Schwarzenegger should run, since he has the experience as governor, but he cannot due to his non-citizen status.
Just think of the great speeches he would give!
I'm sure there are plenty of other celebrities that would make good leaders of America.
This will be the future of America, mark my words. Remember you read it here first.
